Is the Laser Safe?
Low Level Laser Light Therapy works by stimulating a cell’s natural metabolism.  The effects are biochemical, not thermal & therefore cannot damage living cells (Karu, 1998, 1999, 2002). Low level lasers have been ruled a “Non-Significant Risk” devices by the FDA, are non-invasive and drug free.

Is It Guaranteed?
Low Level Laser Therapy may help individuals cope with symptoms associated with quitting smoking.  The low-level laser does not take away your psychological addiction to nicotine.  Each individual has a unique level to his or her addiction, so laser therapy cannot be guaranteed.  We will work closely with each individual to support you in your goals to quit smoking.  We understand that unforeseen circumstances happen and we do our best to accommodate your schedule when making an appointment. Please give the office 24 hour notice if you need to cancel otherwise, you will be billed a $50 cancellation fee.

Is the Laser Research Study for Smoking Covered by Medical Insurance?
Laser Therapy for smoking cessation may be eligible for health insurance coverage depending on your carrier.  A pack-a-day smoker spends approximately $3,000 -$3,500 annually on cigarettes; the cost of the laser session is less than 1/8 of a typical person’s annual cigarette expenditures.

What about weight gain?
When a smoker gives up nicotine their metabolism will start to slow down as their body withdraws from nicotine. Our laser therapists apply the laser to energy points to improve your metabolism and help suppress appetite. Application of the laser to these acupuncture points may help the body adjust to this new lifestyle change of becoming a nonsmoker. In addition, your therapist will recommend some healthy eating habits to support you in achieving your goals.

3 STEPS TO SUCCESS…

The Laser Treatment
The Laser Treatment costs only $350.00 and involves the application of a cold, soft, non-invasive laser beam to specific energy points on the body; this is completely safe and painless.

  • This will help stimulate the release of endorphins.
  • Nicotine will be out of the system within 48 hours
  • This treatment is for all tobacco usage (dippers etc…)

It is believed that nicotine releases endorphins which give the smoker a sense of relaxation.  When smoking stops, the sudden drop in endorphin levels leads to withdrawal symptoms.  Laser treatment helps reduce the craving, stress & restores balance.

The Guidance
Guidance is based on the client-centered motivational model which focuses on self-belief and positive thinking.  During the treatment we will help you deal with the emotional, physical and psychological aspects of quitting smoking.
